About Me


Who Am I?

I immediately want to stuff this section full of flowery and captivating language, but to respect your time. I will keep a direct approach (and put the rest at the bottom of this page).

I’m 28, Dutch, Any/All Pronouns.
A lover of Fantasy, Cosplay, and TTRPG, I fell in love with stories for their ability to make us forget about the real world.

With a Bachelor of Science in Game Architecture & Design, I have worked in the Games Industry for 3 years, and then spent 2 years as an AI Instructor teaching organisations how to handle AI ethically, how to integrate it into an Educational Curriculum, and what goes on inside of the machine.

I am starting my Master’s of Game Technology in September 2026 to further develop my skillset.

More About Me


Identity

To me, language is a means of communication. Words inherently have no value except for the ones we attach to it. Like art, it is a subjective concept.

This manifests directly for me around my identity. Although I am a trans-woman, I never much cared for my pronouns or name. I changed my name in January of 2026 as part of the process and added Malina as my first name, but I am also still “Boyd”, that is who I have been for almost three decades.

I think this carries through in a lot of who I am. I try to meet others’ needs with acceptance and tolerance, knowing we all live very different lives. I do things because I genuinely believe in them, and I question things to gain understanding of the other perspective.
